Enhancement of Corrosion Resistance of Pure Magnesium by Diffusion in Molten Salt AlCl3-NaCl
摘 要
对纯镁表面采用AlCl3-NaCl熔盐扩散处理,金相和SEM观察结果显示镁表面生成了厚度为10 um左右的均匀合金层,XRD测试表明该合金层由单质镁和镁铝金属间化合物Mg17Al12、ε-MgAl、β-MgAl组成,用电极电位曲线、交流阻抗分析以及极化曲线比较熔盐扩散处理前后镁的耐腐蚀性能,结果显示熔盐扩散处理后镁的电极电位显著提高,腐蚀速率降低,较好地提高了镁的耐腐蚀性能.
Abstract
The surface of pure magnesium was treated with AlCl3-NaCl molten salt diffusion method at 573K for 8 h.The metallurgical microscopy and SEM observation showed that an intermetallic compound layer was formed uniformly on Mg surface and its thickness was about 10 μm.The XRD analysis indicated that the layer was mainly consisted of Mg and Mg-Al intermetallic compounds such as Mg17,ε-MgAl and β-MgAl.The electrochemical tests,including electrode potential,EIS and polarization curves,indicated that the intermetallic compound layer had better corrosion resistance than the untreated specimen.
