Probe into Strength Predication Formula of Short Al2O3 Fiber/Al Matrix Composites
摘 要
测定了Al2O3短纤维增强不同铝基复合材料的抗拉强度,利用SEM动态拉伸装置观察了复合材料的微观断裂过程,根据这些试验结果以及有限元计算结果对强度预测公式进行了修正.结果表明:目前普遍采用的强度预测公式,仅适用于断裂机理是纤维断裂型的复合材料,取向因子应为0.49.
Abstract
The tensile strength of different Al2O3(sf)/Al matrix composites was determined.The microscopical fracture procedure was observed using a dynamic tensile device in SEM.According to these experimental results and finite element method calculated result,strength predication formula was modified.The results of tests show that the prevalent strength predication formula can only be used in the composites whose fracture is caused by fiber fracture.The orientation factor should be 0.49.
