Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of A New Type of Sulphur Free Cutting Steel
摘 要
为提高含硫易切削钢的力学性能,设计并制备了一种新型含硫易切削钢,通过光学显微镜、扫描电镜、电子探针和拉伸试验机等手段,分析了该钢的成分偏析、显微组织、硫化物及其力学性能.结果表明:钢中碳、硫、锰等元素在铸坯中特别是柱状晶区发生正偏析,其轧态组织由铁素体和珠光体组成;钢中硫化物主要是MnS,铸态下呈球形,轧制后发生塑性变形,被拉长或破碎,呈长条均匀分布在基体中;其力学性能比SAE 1118钢有很大提高,抗拉强度达到590 MPa,硬度为160~176 HB,能够满足汽车发动机螺杆的性能要求.
Abstract
In order to improve the mechanical properties of sulphur free cutting steel,a new type of sulphur free cutting steel was designed and prepared.Optical microscopy,SEM,EDS and tension test machine were used to investigate the composition segregation,microstructure,sulphide and mechanical properties.The results show that carbon,sulphur and manganese had a plus segregation in the billet especially the columnar zone,and the as-rolled microstructure was composed of ferrite and pearlite.The main sulphide was MnS with sphericity,and it was elongated,broken up and dispersed in the matrix after rolled.Compared to SAE 1118 steel,the strength of the developed steel was improved to 590 MPa,and the hardness to 160-176 HB,it could meet the performance requirements of engine screw.
