Study on Transverse Wave Testing of Rail Axle with Focusing Probe
摘 要
利用几何声学原理,研究了在火车车轴圆周面上扫查时声波的传播规律,分析了声波的发散特性和聚焦条件,设计了5晶片聚焦探头,进行了探头性能测试和探伤试验。测试结果表明,5晶片聚焦探头聚焦效果明显,在探测深度为160 mm时,其声场强度较等面积单晶片探头提高了5 dB以上。
Abstract
The law of ultrasonic wave propagation was studied according to geometrical acoustics principle while scanning on rail axle convex surface. The divergence characteristics and focusing condition of ultrasonic wave in rail axle were analyzed. Five-crystal focusing probe was designed and the probe performances were experimented. Results indicated that the focusing effect of five-crystal probe was obvious and the wave amplitude was 5 dB more than the single-crystal probe with the same size at a testing depth of 160 mm.
