Comparison of Test Method Between Ultrasonic C-scan and Industrial CT in Electron Beam Welding Testing
摘 要
以传动齿轮中电子束焊缝为对象, 采用超声波C扫描检测以及高能加速器工业CT检测两种无损检测方法对其进行检测。结果表明, 超声波C扫描检测技术对熔深、焊偏、未熔及延迟裂纹等缺陷检出率和灵敏度高, 但检测结果易受工件结构、缺陷形状影响, 缺陷尺寸由超声波探头声束直径和图像边界分割算法决定; 高能加速器工业CT检测系统对小于0.5 mm以下缺陷的定量精度优于超声波C扫描检测, 不受工件结构及缺陷形状特征的限制, 分辨率高, 检测体积型缺陷优势大。
Abstract
In this paper, the electron beam welding for the key components of a vehicle engine CR gear weld was taken as the research object, and the ultrasonic C scan detecting and accelerator industrial computed tomography (CT) of the two kinds of nondestructive testing methods were used for contrast test. The results showed that the ultrasonic C scan detecting technology was possessed of high detection rate and high sensitivity for defects such as lack of penetration, partial welding, being not melt and delayed cracks, but the test results were susceptible to the workpiece structures, defect shape and defect size due to ultrasonic probe beam diameter and image boundary segmentation algorithm. On the other hand, the high energy accelerator industrial CT detection systems was better than the ultrasonic C scan in the defect quantitative accuracy for less than 0.5 mm defects and it was not limited by the workpiece structure geometry and shape characteristics of the main defects, and in addition it was characteristic of high resolution and large volume type defect advantage. But the cost of high energy accelerator industrial CT detection device is high, its maintenance is expensive, and its promotion and application is restricted to a certain extent.
