The Measurement of the Tunnel Defects Size by Means of the Diffracted Wave in Phased Array B-scan Images

在焊缝检测中,隧道型缺陷尺寸的精确确定是一个难点,在采用超声相控阵技术对横孔的试验中发现,横孔直接反射波与衍射波的时间差与横孔直径有一线性关系,利用导出的方程对该线性关系进行表示后,可较为准确地通过B扫描试验结果来测定横孔直径,这对小直径隧道缺陷尺寸的确定很有意义.经试验测定,该方法对小于1 mm直径横孔的尺寸测量精度大于90%.
Abstract
It has long been a difficult problem to precisely determine the size of tunnel defects.During the experiments conducted on the side holes by phased array,it was found that there was a linear relation of the side hole diameter and time delay between the direct waves and backscattered waves.This means that with the linear equation,the diameter of side holes can be calculated by the information given by the B-scan results.This is of great significance to determine the size of tunnel defects of small diameter especially for those under 1mm.Proved by experiments,the accuracy of this method on side holes with diameter under 1mm can be larger than 90%.
