Influence of Manganese Addition on Iron-rich Phase Shape and Electromagnetic Filtration of Al-Fe Alloy
摘 要
将不同数量的锰添加到Al-2%Fe合金中,进行电磁过滤并浇注试样,研究了合金中富铁相的形貌和力学性能.结果表明:初生Al3Fe相的形貌发生了明显的变化,当锰、铁的摩尔比为1.3~1.5时,针状的富铁相基本消失,取而代之的是块状.锰变质后,抗拉强度比变质前的126 MPa提高了20~30 MPa,伸长率达到22.9%.变质的熔体通过电磁过滤后,由于铁相基本上被去除,合金的伸长率可以达到29.2%,而抗拉强度降低为131 MPa.
Abstract
Through adding different contents of Mn into Al-2%Fe alloy,carrying through electromagnetic experiment and casing samples,the morphology of the primary Al3Fe phase and mechanical properties were investigated.Mn has obvious influence on the shape of iron-rich phase,which changed from the needle-like to needle plate-like and particle-like.When the molar ratio of Mn/Fe=1.3-1.5,the modifying effect is the best.The tensile strength is raised by 20-30 MPa after adding Mn,the tensile strength is 126 MPa without Mn,the elongation is up to 22.9%.After the modified melt was acted in magnetic filed,the iron-rich phase move to the pipe wall and is removed because of the electromagnetic repulsion force.The melt is mainly aluminum.Therefore the tensile strength declined to 131 MPa,but the elongation is enhanced further,up to 29.2%.
