Characterization of the Defects in Welds by Ultrasonic Time-of-Flight Diffraction Technique
摘 要
采用超声衍射时差法(TOFD)检测焊缝中大量的缺陷,分析各类典型缺陷的响应特征,总结用TOFD技术对缺陷定性的方法,并与普通超声波检测结果进行对比。较之普通超声波检测,TOFD法直观,信息量大,对人员的依赖性低且定性准确。
Abstract
Many defects in welds were detected by ultrasonic time-of-flight diffraction(TOFD) technique. The signal characteristics responded by the typical defects in weld were analyzed. The discrimination of defects by TOFD was described in detail and the results were compared with those by normal ultrasonic testing. It was showed that TOFD technique was superior to normal ultrasonic testing technique in intuitive display, abundant information and inspector-independent detection and accurate defect discrimination.
