Study on the Feasibility of Applying Electric Potential Method on Fatigue Crack Monitoring
摘 要
鉴于常规裂纹检测技术的不足,提出应用电位法对结构疲劳裂纹进行监测的方法。介绍了电位法检测裂纹的基本原理,通过基于铝箔纸的模拟试验研究,对应用电位法监测结构疲劳裂纹的可行性进行了论证。试验得到一组可反映监测电压值与裂纹的出现位置、长度及扩展关系的曲线,从而证明了应用电位法监测结构疲劳裂纹的可行性。
Abstract
The key to ensure the safety and reliability of structure is to find the fatigue cracks origination in time and monitor its propagation effectively. The shortcomings of the traditional crack detection methods were analyzed, and the electric potential method was pointed out to be suitable for fatigue crack monitoring. The principle of electric potential method was introduced, and a set of experiments with aluminium foil films were carried out. Based on the experimental data, a set of relation curves between voltage values and cracks lengths were obtained on condition that those cracks grew at several different positions, and from these curves it could be seen that it was feasible to monitor fatigue cracks using electric potential method.
