Phased array ultrasonic testing for thick-wall welds of reactor pressure vessels
摘 要
反应堆压力容器(RPV)的安全性是衡量核电安全的重要指标,而超声检测是RPV役前和在役检测监督的重要手段之一。以RPV厚壁筒体焊缝为对象,开展相控阵超声检测技术探讨,通过理论分析、仿真与试验对超声检测技术的探测和定量能力进行评估和验证,并与常规超声检测工艺进行了对比分析。结果证明,相控阵超声检测技术的探测能力和定量精度均可达到ASME规范中能力验证的要求,并且所采用的工艺能大幅提高检测可靠性、灵活度和效率。
Abstract
The safety of reactor pressure vessel (RPV) is an important indicator of nuclear power safety. Ultrasonic testing is an important means of RPV pre-service and in-service testing. This paper took RPV thick wall cylinder weld as the research object, and developed phased array testing technology. Through theoretical analysis, simulation and experiments, the detection capability of ultrasonic testing technology was evaluated and compared with conventional ultrasonic testing technology. The results showed that the detection capability and quantitative accuracy can meet the requirements of ASME code for capability verification, and the detection flexibility and efficiency can be improved.
