    • This paper analyzed the corrosion and protection for Zhuhai-Zhongshan buried natural gas pipeline in climate and geological environment of south China. The corrosion of natural gas pipelines in Guangdong pipeline company of CNOOC was inspccted. Cathodic protection was used for buried natural gas pipelines, so that safe operation was achieved. Technical recommendations for buried natural gas pipeline corrosion and protection were proposed.
