    • MoS2 nanorods were successfully prepared by liquid phase reduction method with sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate(SDBS) and polyethylene glycol(PEG) as surfactants at low temperature.The microstructure and chemical compositions of the as-obtained samples were studied by X-ray diffraction (XRD),infrared spectrum (IR) and transmission electron microscopy(TEM)equiped with EDAX energy dispersive X-ray spectrometer analysis (EDS).It has been found that the MoS2 nanorods had a perfect rod-like shape with length of 400 nm and diameter of 30 nm,and modified by PEG and SDBS.As a result of the synergistic effect between SDBS and PEG,a template-oriented growth mechanism on coated matrix was proposed.
