    • The method of electromagnetic examination is the easiest and most reliable one used presently for testing of the steel wire rope, and the more stable magnetic fields of permanent magnet can be used to detect the stable and clear signal of defects of the steel wire rope. By integrating the test records and data, qualitatively and quantitatively analyzing the test signal, this paper will confirm the percentage reduction of area of the steel wire rope, partial aggregation of broken wire and rate of increase of broken wire.
