    • The microstructure and mechanical properties of SWRH72A and SWRH82B steel wires with different cold-drawing strains were studied by scanning electron microscopy and tensile test. The results show that the tensile strength of the steel wires increased with the increase of drawing strain within the low strain range, the tensile strength was linear with the ture strain. The relation between tensile strength and strain at big strains was different from that at low strains, the pearlite colony rotated under the condition of low strains, and finally the longitudinal axis of the colony was parallel to the axis of steel wires. During the drawing, 〈110〉texture which was parallel to the drawing direction was formed, and its intensity gradually increased with the increase of the strain.
