    • Eddy current has become one of the practical approaches to detect surface and subsurface defects of magnetic component. Simulation method has been employed to explore the thermal characteristics of the defects on complex geometric component stimulated by eddy current via COMSOL software. The temperature distribution and its variation around the defect have been obtained. The results show that eddy current thermography could be efficient to inspect surface and subsurface defects in complex geometric component. This work could be a reference for designing inspection system to detect cracks in complex geometric component with eddy current stimulated approach.
