    • PTFE/7075 aluminium alloy embedded self-lubricating composite was prepared by compression mould/sintering technique.Friction and wear properties of the composite were evaluated in a reciprocating tribometer.To study the worn surfaces,SEM was used.The composite was superior to un-embedded composite in thermal conductivity and wear resistance.In the steady state,friction temperature and wear rate of the composite was 51 ℃ and 0.38×10-3 mm3/(Nm),and its friction coefficient was about 0.087,only changed slightly.Wear mechanism in the stable wear period was characterized by adhesion and slight abrasion.In the later period,local fatigue appeared.
