    • Damping mechanism and several modification approaches( including blending,copolymerization and filling modification) of the polymer-based damping materials were introduced in this paper.Recent research on new types of damping materials(including interpenetrating polymer networks,conductive-type piezoelectric and organic hybrid damping materials) and structure polymer damping materials were reviewed.The development trends and prospect of the polymer-based damping materials that is realization the high performance,structure-damping integration,functionalization and environmental protection of the polymer-based damping were viewed.
