    • With systematical analysis on the failure causes at the welding positions of NaCOOH vent gas absorbing tower by means of SEM,mechanical test,chemical composition analysis and residual stress measurement. The results indicated that present of sodium,chlorine in the corrosion products and the combined action of stress and alkaline corrosion environment led to the failure of the NaCOOH vent gas absorbing tower.
