    Image Enhancement Method Based on High-Frequency Emphasized Filtering for Infrared Testing

    • Infrared test image has low contrast and high noise, which results in difficulties in reading and recognizing defects difficultly. In order to solve the problems, image enhancement method based on high-frequency emphasized filtering for infrared test is presented. After high-pass filtering filtered, the method emphasizes on high-frequency components and also keeps lost low-frequency components, and finally realizes image enhancement. The result shows that the method improves image contrast and Peak Signal to Noise Ratio(PSNR) and restrains noise efficiently compared with other high-pass filtering.
