    • A new type of magnetorheological gel (MRG) was prepared and its rheological properties were examined.The results showed that shear stress of the MRG was insensitive to shear rate when the applied magnetic field strength was large and its linear viscoelastic range was enlarged by the increase of applied magnetic field strength.Its storage modulus reached 7.98 MPa when the applied magnetic field was H=102.8 kA·m-1.Just like magnetorheological fluids,three characteristic regions were observed in MRG.
