    • The failure analysis of blades was performed in terms of composition analysis,fracture morphology observing and mechanical tests to find out the fracture reason of bolts in tobacco machinery fixed blade.The results show that the fracture of the bolts was brittle rupture.The relatively low elongation and area reduction of the bolts and the relatively high content of sulfur element in the material were main causes of failure.It is suggested to select materials insensitive to high-temperature sulfidation for preparing the bolts and optimize thermal treatment processing.
